What a wonderful world.

On January 28 and 29, I had the opportunity to embark on a two-day, one-night African safari through Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. Prior to this, the closest thing I’d done to a “safari” was the “African Safari” attraction in Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

As I flew through the African countryside, admiring lush green mountains, red-orange sands, perfectly-still ponds that could have been mirrors, and a plethora of African wildife, roaming free in their natural habitats, I kept thinking of the same phrase I’d heard in a song: What a wonderful world.

Taking on this endeavor is an experience that undoubtedly changed my life forever, and I’m eternally grateful I was able to go. I found a new peace in Tsavo that I’d never experienced before, and as I learned about the wonderous creatures that roamed the grasslands and mountains, I learned lessons about myself.

My hope is that you all can take something from my experiences as I do my best to bring you along. Without further ado, enjoy your safari.
