About Me
I’m a fearless, award-winning photojournalist who aims to inspire a sense of adventure, curiosity, and cultural understanding among my audiences. I seek to inspire people to venture beyond their perspective and experience the world differently. I approach each story with an open mind and open heart, with the goal of amplifying a voice that needs and deserves to be heard.
I graduated from Colorado State University in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Communications and a Minor in Creative Writing. While there, I was a photojournalist and feature writer for the award-winning student newspaper, The Rocky Mountain Collegian, and magazine, College Avenue. I was also the Student Sustainability Center’s Content Officer for the School of Global Environmental Sustainability, which allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of sustainability and marketing communications. Moreover, I studied abroad with Semester at Sea in January-April 2023 and traveled to eleven countries, producing a series of personal travel stories in the process. I was later asked to create a photo gallery and travel essay documenting the experience for the cover of an issue of The Rocky Mountain Collegian. I have acquired advanced skills in photography, writing, video production, graphic design, journalistic integrity, social media, strategic communications, and visual storytelling.
My work has also been published in Best of CSU 2024, Culturs Magazine, the Museum of Art Fort Collins blog, and the Green Bulletin blog. For my work in College Avenue Magazine, I received accolades from the Society for Professional Journalists and the Colorado Press Association.
I have planned and produced visual transmedia stories for numerous clients, including the Museum of Art Fort Collins, Travelmation, and the Sustainable Living Association. I have also built a flourishing portrait side hustle, focusing on graduating seniors. I adore every part of the process, from connecting with the client to brainstorming and sketching ideas, photographing, filming, and then pulling the story together in post-production. I am beyond grateful for the connections I’ve formed and the impactful work I’ve created in my freelance career, and I’m excited to continue building it.
My greater career goal is to work in the field, creating impactful stories about travel, sustainability, culture, and the outdoors that can educate and inspire audiences to emotionally connect with narratives. I desire to collaborate with a creative team or other inspired individuals and gain greater media production and visual storytelling industry experience.
Please don’t hesitate to email me directly with any questions or freelance inquiries. I can’t wait to work with you!
